This 6803 pod adapter schematic set (there are three JPGs) needs a bit of explanation - as of Mar 1, 2010.

According to the designer - Shy Meirovitch of Navatek (California) - there are no documents for this design left. He says that this was designed to make the 6803 adapter generic to it could be used with most Unit Under Test (UUT).

1) the 6802 pod's UUT plug goes into the 6802 socket on this schematic.

2) you will need a 40 pin jumper cable to move from the 6803 socket to the 6803 UUT.

3) The delay lines are from Dallas Semiconductor - do not know part number at this time. Should be able to figure them out based on pinout and manufacturer.

4) 6803_Image1.jpg shows the section that sets the 6821's address to a series that is unused by the UUT. If there is no unused addresses on the 6803 UUT then you will need to use some form of page mode. Note that the 4 HEX switches are used to select the 6821s CS.

5) 6803_Image2.jpg shows the Address Strobe generation as required by the 6803. Jumper J3 (JAS) is used to select either version (VMA or non-VMA). AS DEF X3 and MUX DEF X4 set the delay time. You will have to play with these settings to generate a stable Strobe signal.

6) 6803_Image3.jpg shows the two 40 pin sockets - one for the 6802 pod to plug into, the other that takes the 40 pin jumper to go to the 6803 UUT.

Good Luck!
